A Christian Neoplatonist author of around the year 500. He wrote under the name of «Dionysius the Areopagite», the Athenian converted by St Paul (Acts 17:34) — hence «Pseudo-»: he was NOT that 1st-century figure, as scholarship proved. His treatise «The Celestial Hierarchy» fixed the NINE CHOIRS of angels in three triads (Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones; Dominations, Virtues, Powers; Principalities, Archangels, Angels). It is the source from which the «Fallen Choirs» series takes the choirs the demons fall from.
