Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Grimorium is a free historical catalogue of the 72 spirits of the Ars Goetia. This site was
designed to respect your privacy: it does not sell data, it shows no ads and it does not track
you across sites.
What we do NOT do
- We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
- We build no user profiles and neither share nor sell personal information.
- We ask for no registration, email or any personal data to use the site.
What data is processed
- Local storage (localStorage): we keep only your theme preference
(light/dark) and language in your own browser. It never leaves your device.
- Anonymous interest statistics: when you open a spirit's entry, the site sends
an anonymous signal (which entry was opened) so we can tell which content matters most. It contains
no personal data and no identifier that could recognise you.
- Server logs: the hosting (Cloudflare Pages) may record the usual technical data
(IP address, browser type) for security and operation, under
Cloudflare's policy.
The Practitioner's Table (ritual simulator)
The simulator /r/ follows the same principles:
- Local progress: your progress and your unlock code (if you use one) live in your
browser's localStorage. They are sent to no server. You can export them yourself with the
«Progress» button (progress seal) and restore them on another device by pasting them.
- Anonymous metrics: anonymous aggregate signals are sent (ritual started,
completed, click to the channel video) to measure how much the simulator is used. They include no
IP, email or identifier of any kind; only the event and, where relevant, the spirit's name.
- Member-code validation: when you paste a code, it is checked against a site
function. The code is not stored and is not tied to you; only its validity is kept on your device.
External links
The site links to YouTube (channel videos) and may be shared on networks such as Pinterest or
Telegram. Those services have their own privacy policies, independent of Grimorium.
Facsimiles (VOX)
In the ritual audio archive (VOX), manuscript facsimiles are fetched live from
the Heidelberg University Library IIIF and served through an edge proxy (Cloudflare): no local copy is
stored and the images reach you from Grimorium's own domain, so your browser never contacts third parties
or receives their cookies while viewing them. Rights to those facsimiles remain Heidelberg's (In
Copyright).
Content
Grimorium is historical, educational material about demonology and ancient grimoires. It promotes no
practices and offers no services; it honestly tells what the sources document apart from what modern
practice has added.
