As you did in the sun, in the month of July, on the day and hour of the moon, the moon waxing... and give it in the food or drink of anyone... you will see wonders... [for] love. And if you want a new image... dry it in the shade and pulverize it and give it in food with the drink... and make a seal for love... "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Amen. Here begins the book of the moon and of the images[?] that belong to the moon, and it is called the Book of the Moon. For the moon, above all other planets or stars, has the greatest power over us in this world... for it is nearer to us than any other planet; and this book deals above all with... [health/life]... For [the moon and the heavenly bodies] make grow[?] all who are upon this earth, yes, upon all things that are under the course of the moon, in the earth or upon [it], in the air and in the water. With which, by the art of this book, one may make all things fortunate and blessed, or unfortunate and wretched. Item, to drive away from someone sickness or sorrow and [illegible]... and to make love[?] or [illegible], or anything according to the course of the moon. For the moon has in the heaven 28 mansions (dwellings), and it passes through those 28 mansions round about within one lunar month (maenscijn), and remains in each mansion about one day and night..."
