[resto ilegible].

[ilegible] as much [as you can?] [ilegible] then it is prepared, the first Chora which increaseth [ilegible] great increase and Barrenness &c [ilegible] [ilegible] if [these] Angels doe appeare in any of the other 3 Choras or Altitudes, they must [not?] doe it [ilegible] in the manner as they are here; But [doe?] not pray, for any thing that is con- trary to the honour of God[?] [ilegible], or against God and his Laws, but what God gives [in?] a [natural?] cause of any of them [ilegible] &c. All you may [desire?] to obtaine, [ilegible] [ilegible] to the honour and one [to?] prince [ilegible] [ilegible] Chora [ilegible] as followeth &c Alphariza. Genon. Geron Armon. Gereinon. &c [ilegible] when you operate kneele before the Almadel with a labell [ilegible] [ilegible] in a [ilegible] ~~[tachado]~~ [ilegible] with the same colour also, for the [holy?] a [ilegible] will be of [ilegible] and when [ilegible] put the earthen Bason under to [ilegible] [ilegible] with a graine of Mastick in powder to fume as above written, and when the [smoak?] ariseth [ilegible] he turneth his face toward you, [asking?] the Exorcist with [ilegible] why he hath called the prince of this Chora or Altitude, then you must answer [ilegible] [saying?] I desire that my Request may be granted, and the contents there of may be accomplished, for your office maketh appear and declare all that such it to be done, if you of it please and &c. you must not be fearfull but [aske?] humbly saying &c I recomend my self into your office, and I pray unto your prince of this Altitude that I may enjoy your wishes & desires &c. you may further express your mind in all particulars in your prayer &c Doe the like in the 2 other Choras that follow &c [ilegible]

The Angell of this second Altitude appeareth in the form of a young child with clothes of sattin and of a red Rose colour, having a crown of Red gillyflowers upon his head, his face looking upward to heaven and is of a red colour and is compassed round about with a bright splendour, as the Beams of the sunn; and before he departeth he speaks to the Exorcist, saying [I am?] your Freind and Brother and illuminatith the ayre with his splendour and [pleasant?] smell, [which lasteth?] a long time &c [ilegible]

______ Third Chora or Altitude In this Chora [ilegible] doing [ilegible] The Angells of this Altitude are named as followeth Eliphamalai, Gelomiros Gedobonai, Saranana, & Elomnia, they appear in the form of children or little women dressing, in green and silver colours, is very delightfull to behold, and a crown of Bay leaves, [set?] with flowers of white and green colours upon their heads and they seeme to look a little downwards with their faces &c They speak as the other doe to the Exorcist and leave a mighty sweet perfume behind them &c [ilegible]

______ The Fourth Chora or Altitude In this Chora you must doe as in the other, and the Angels [you may?] call [are named?] Barchiel, Gediel, Deliel, & Captiel. &c These appear in form of little men or Boys with cloathes of a Black collour, mixt with a darke green, and in their hand they hold a [figura: pájaro — interlineado «Bird»] which is naked & their heads and Beards, only it is compassed round & beset

beset with Ivy Berries [&c] and all very beautifull and comely, and are compass- -ed round with a bright shining of every colour they draw a sweet smell behind them also; but differeth from the other something &c [ilegible]

Note: There are 12 princes ruling besides those in the 4 Altitudes and they issue in [alter?] their offices amongst themselves, every one ruling 30 dayes every year; now it will be in vain to call any of those Angells unless it be those that then govern[eth], For every Chora or Altitude, hath its limited time according to y[e] 12 signs of the Zodiack and in that signe the sunn is in, That Angell or those angels that belong to that same have the government: as for Example, suppose I would [call] the 2 [first?] of those 5 that belong to the first Chora, then chuse the first sunday on [March?] that is after the Sun is entered [figura: ♈ Aries] and then I make my experiment; and so doe the like if you will the next sunday after again; But if you will call the 2[?] second that belong to y[e] first Chora. Then you must take the sundays that are in April after the [figura: ☉ Sol] is entered [figura: ♉ Tauro]. But if you call the last of the 5[th] Then you must take those sundays that are in may after the [figura: ☉ Sol] is entered [figura: ♊ Géminis] to make your experiment in: doe the like in the other Altitudes, for they have all one way of working: But the Altitudes have their names, [ilegible] in the [Zodiac?] [ilegible] here as a Character, in some near the same, of [and?] that we attribute to them [ilegible] near it as the be vertue, of that Character, therefore it is in vain to call any name or Spirit unless you know what names of angels rule them, [as before said?] observe the forme of the following conjuration or Invocation &c &c

______ The Invocation O thou great mighty and blessed Angel of God N, who rulest as the chief & first governing angel in the first Chora or Altitude in the East under the great prince of the East whom you obey [ilegible] [ilegible] N [ilegible that is set over you as king by ye divine power of God] Adonai Helomi Pine, who is [appointed?] [ilegible] disposer of all things, both in heaven and earth and sea; I thy servant of the [ilegible] God, Adonai Helomi Pine [ilegible] doe conjure & entreat thee N [ilegible] appeare [ilegible] forth [ilegible] [ilegible] my understanding [ilegible] thou mighty and blessed angel N [ilegible] the power of God [ilegible] persons all together and [ilegible] any experiment and [various natures?] of [ilegible] one way or another [ilegible] be the same [ilegible] present of his [ilegible] object [ilegible] & entreat you and them, and [conjuring?] that I shall [ilegible] the forme or [rites?] of the office you are in [ilegible] the same, of God permit to the [ilegible] Beames of [ilegible] N, [ilegible] in a day [ilegible] [ilegible] by the name of Adonai Helomi Pine, and doe entreat you in and by the name Anabona, that you forthwith appeare [ilegible] effectually and clearly in thy own [proper shape?] and now in [disturbing?] your Mysticall stones; That I may [ilegible] [ilegible] readily [come?] & talk with me, That I may [have?] thy desire and glory [ilegible]

So endeth the Booke Almadel of Solomon. [figura: floritura/rúbrica]

Here beginneth the Fifth Part called by Salomon Artem Novam; or Ars Notoria; being a booke of holy Orations & Prayers, which Salomon used for to Obtaine his Wisdome & Knowledge by; for it was giuen to him by the Archangel Michael. &c

These following Orations may be said before all Arts generally; & before all notes specially; & they may be pronounced without any other Chapters. if thou wouldest Operate in any Art, saying these Orations in due time & Order, thou maist haue great Effi[c]acy in any Art, & in saying these Orations, Neither the time, Day, nor Date to be observed; but take heed the[?] on those dayes you abstaine from all sinn; as drunkenesse, gluttony, Especially Swearing, before you proceed thereunto that your Knowledge therein may be the more perfect & Cleer.

Wherefore Solomon saith: when I was to pronounce these Orations I feared, Least I should offend God; & I appointed to my selfe a time therein to beginne them; that liueing chastly I might appeare the more Innocent.

These are the Proaemiums of these Orations that I might Lay downe in Order every thing, Whereof thou maist doubt, without any other definition, & before thou begin to try any of these Subtile workes, it is good to fast twoo or three dayes, that it may be diuinly revealed, whether thy desires be good or Evell

These are the precepts appointed before every Oration. Oratio[ilegible]

Oh Mappa‑la‑man, Aleluya, amén.
