the Science Arts called the Spirits Chains cause the spirit that Resisteth ~~~~~

O thou wicked and disobedient spirit because thou hast rebelled and not obeyed nor regarded my words, wch I have rehearsed they being all most glorious and incomprehensible names of the great Maker and creator of you and me and all the world, by the power of these names wch no creature is able to resist, I doe curse you into the depth of ye Bottamlesse pitt, there to remaine untill the day of doome in Chaines of fire and Brimstone unquenchable, unles you forthwith come and appeare before this Circle, in this Triangle illegibile in a faire comely shape and visible in & by the name Adonai Zeboath, Adonay Amiorem; come, come, why stay you? Adonay commandeth you.

If thou wilt have proceeded so farr and he doth not come, Then write his name and seale in virgin paper and put it into a Black Box with Brimstone, assa fetida and such things that beare a stinking strong smell, and bind the Box round with a wire; and hang it on the point of your sword, and hold it over the fire of Charcole, and say at the first still (it being placed) avoid, that you keep in if to come) ~~~~~ I conjure thee you fire by him that made thee and all other good creatures in the world, that you torment burne and consume this spirit N. everlastingly. I condemn thee thou spirit N. into fire everlasting, because thou art disobedient and obey not the command nor kept the precepts of the lord thy god, neither will thou appeare to nor obey me nor my invocations, having thereby called you forth, you am the torment of ye most high and Infernall lord god of host Jehovah, and deprived and banished by his Celestiall power and permission, neither come thou near me nor to shew my presence, hear made unto you, for to your detriment, and cast upon you and upon thy illegibile disobedience and obstinacie, and therefore I shall excommunicate you and destroy thy name and seale which I have here written in this boxe and shall burne them in immortall fire and bury them in oblivion that oblivion which hereafter medially cometh say you are visible affably, friendly, and courteously here unto me before this Circle in the Triangle, in a faire and comely forme and in no wise terrible hurtfull or fright- full to me or any other creature whatsoever upon the face of the Earth, and make rationall answers to my requests and doe forthwith my desire in all things that shall make knowne you &c.

If he cometh not yet, say as followeth.

Now O thou spirit N. since you are still pernicious, and disobedient, and will not appeare unto me to answer to such things as I should demand of you or would have desired in obedience, in the door in the name and by the power and dignity of the omnipotent immortall lord god of host Jehovah Tetragrammaton, the only creator of heaven Earth and hell and all that in them is who is the marvellous disposer of all things both visible and invisible curse you and deprive you from all your office, Joy and place, and do bind thee in ye depths of ye Bottomless pit, there to remaine untill the day of Judgement, day into the lake of fire & Brimstone which is prepared for all rebellion wicked and obstinate spirits, let all the

holy company of Heaven curse thee, The Sun, Moone and all the host of heaven curse thee, I curse thee into the fire unquenchable, & Torments unspeakable, and as thy name and seale is contained in this box, chained and bound up, and shall be choaked in Sulphurous & stinking substance and burne in this materiall fire, so in the name Jehovah, and by the power and dignity of these three names, Tetragrammaton, Anephezeton & Primeumaton cast thee, O thou disobedient spirit N., into that lake of fire which is prepared for the damned and cursed spirits, and there to remaine untill the day of doome, and never more to be remembered of before the face of God, who shall come to Judge the quick and the dead and the world by fire.

Here the Exorcist must put the Box into the fire and by and by he will come; But before you come quickly to the fire that the Box is in and make it quench, perfuming and annoynting him illegibile and when you have quenched the fire make perfume that you give him of a sweet odor, with alumen cleanly saying. Behold the conclusion of your disobedient; Behold the Pentacle of Salomon which I have brought here before thy presence. Behold the person of ye exorcist who is called Octino- mos, in the midst of the Exorcisme who is armed by god and without fear; who potently Invocateth you and commandeth you, therefore make rationall answers to my demands and be obedient to me your master in the name of ye Lord Bathat, rushing upon Abrac Abeor, coming upon Aberer. ~~~~~

Then when or he will be obedient and bid you aske what you will for then aske wch deed be good to fulfill your desire and demands, and when they are all appeared and ye have dismissed them begin to make them you use to say; wicked spirits or most noble kings or kings say you are welcome unto me because I called you through him who is called both Reachon illegibile in the end all that is contained in them, and you have obeyed also by the same power that created you, lord I binde you that you remaine affably and visibly here before this Circle or before this Circle in this Triangle and to shew a plaine reason to us and not to depart without my license untill you have faithfully and truely performed my will without any fallacie &c. ~~~~~~~~~~

O thou spirit N. because thou hast yet delayed thy selfe & not [feared], and hast readily and willingly to come at my first and stood near before this Circle here to depart into thy proper place without doing anything or danger to any man or Beast, depart stay and be ever ready to come at my call, being duly exorcised and conjured by ye sacred rites of Magicke, I charge thee to withdraw, peaceably and quietly; and the peace of god be ever continued between me and thee.

After you have given the spirit license, you are not to goe out of your Circle untill they be gone and you have made more orisons, and thanked god almighty for that bestowed upon you in granting you your desires and delivering you from the malice of thine enemy the Divell.
